PackLight privacy policy
PackLight stores packing data on your device or in your browser. If you use weather, your destination is sent to Open-Meteo.
What PackLight stores locally
Your trips, packing lists, trip dates, selected cover photos, cached weather, reminders, and any custom templates you save are stored locally on your device or in this browser. Browser cover photos are resized and compressed before they are saved. Cover photos are not uploaded by PackLight.
Weather
When a trip has a destination, PackLight sends that destination text directly from your device to Open-Meteo's geocoding service and then sends the resulting latitude and longitude to Open-Meteo's forecast service. PackLight does not send your trip name, packing-list contents, reminder details, or an account identifier. Raduvis does not receive or retain these requests.
Open-Meteo also receives technical request data such as your IP address. Open-Meteo states that free-API logs may contain IP addresses and coordinates and are deleted after 90 days. Remove the destination from a trip if you do not want PackLight to make weather requests. See https://open-meteo.com/en/terms for details.
To reduce network requests and keep the latest weather available offline, PackLight stores the latest weather summary, resolved location, and update time locally on your device. It refreshes weather when the cached result is more than six hours old.
Notifications
On iOS and Android, packing reminders are local notifications scheduled and delivered by your device.
On the web, PackLight uses your browser's Notifications API. Web reminders are saved in browser storage, can appear while PackLight is open, and a recently missed reminder can appear when you return. Reliable delivery while the browser is completely closed would require a push-notification service, which PackLight does not use.
No reminder or notification data is sent to Raduvis or any other server. You can decline or revoke notification permission at any time — PackLight works without it.
What we collect
Raduvis collects nothing from PackLight. There are no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking. The only external requests are the Open-Meteo weather requests described above.
Where your data lives
Your packing data, selected cover photos, cached weather, and web reminder schedule live locally on your device or in your browser. Uninstalling the mobile app removes its local data. On the web, clearing site data for raduvis.com removes PackLight's local browser data. Raduvis has no copy and cannot recover it. Your device backup may include native app data under Apple or Google's own privacy terms.
Third parties
PackLight uses Open-Meteo only for destination geocoding and weather forecasts. It does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and Raduvis does not sell or share your packing data.
Children
PackLight does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released and the effective date will change.
