HireDesk privacy policy
HireDesk stores your gear list and rental records on your device. We collect nothing, track nothing, and see nothing.
What the app stores on your device
Your gear list, and the rental records you create — which can include customer names, phone numbers, deposits, and check-out/check-in times. All of it stays on your device.
Customer details you record
Names and phone numbers you type into HireDesk are your records, held only on your device. As the business recording them, you are responsible for handling them in line with the data-protection rules that apply to you (in the UK, that's UK GDPR — in practice: record only what you need, and delete records you no longer need). HireDesk never uploads, syncs, or shares these details.
Notifications
Due-back alerts are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to any server. You can decline or revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings — the app works fine without it.
What we collect
Nothing. HireDesk has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. We never see your data, and the app makes no network requests to us or to anyone else on your behalf.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter in HireDesk is stored locally on your device, and only there. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. We have no copy and no way to recover it — consider your device's normal backup (such as iCloud or Google's device backup, which is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policy) if the data matters to you.
Third parties
HireDesk does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is sold, shared, or transferred to anyone, because none ever leaves your device.
Children
HireDesk does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
